I wouldn't put it past blizzard to do something like that. When people get money hungry, they will go to great lengths to get people to buy more copies of thier game. (i'm sure there weren't 36,000 diablos on the shelves across the country, some stored I'm sure reordered giving blizz money.

Aren't most of those cd-keys temp banned though, just for a month right?

We have just closed more than 36,000 accounts for cheating on Battle.net. More than 28,000 CD keys tied to these accounts have been disabled from Realm play on Battle.net for one month, and more than 3,000 CD keys have been permanently disabled from Realm play due to repeat offenses.

most are temp banned because they are only first time offenders. people that have been 1 month banned before for hacks/bots are now permenently banned and people that haven't been banned for hacks before are only temp banned for a month. Your d2 classic key is the one that has been banned, and your LoD key is still valid. I got a classic key from my friend and am now playing with the same lod key. This info was posted on bnet forums in the same thread about the bannings by an offical blizz rep. He also stated that lod keys not being banned may change at any time. (like most people just got a new classic key, and if they are caught hacking again they will ban the lod key also I assume... makes sense)

Can you read? Looks like 231 posts to me. It also isnt thousands of posts. 231 is easy to make if someone is getting paid for it.

I do. The problem was netter not Blizzard banning you. So you can dl it as netter has stopped ****ing with us. ^^.
